When it s n o w s 2021

First such a snow in Lowlands in 10 years. I truly was missing it. Sunday morning walk in snow storm condition – 15km and breathtaking moments of snow fall. To the beach and back. Full of endorphins. Yea-yeah i know cliché.

Slowly stepping back from social media and saying I’m sorry to my blog page. Feeling recently drained to be up-to-date with everything, sucked from my creative energy.

This blog – It’s a woman world [?] – was safe place for my daily little things. And will stay like that.

Today pictures from last week (48). Enjoy.

On 23rd October the Polish Constitutional Tribunal had decided to invalidate the access to abortion on the ground of “severe and irreversible fatal defect or incurable illness that threatens the fetus’ life”.
This is happing now and today in Poland, a country that is a part of the European Union. We as humans, no matter from which country, culture, age or religion are able to make the choices for ourselves, but the polish woman can’t do it anymore. Polish politicians already decided for them.
Let’s stand together and show our voice of support for all the woman who are not allowed to choose for them selves.

This blog was always about Women World. Today my heart was fulfilled with hope that the situation for polish woman will finally change. The pictures were taken at the peaceful protest in the Hague, The Netherlands, as a support for the revolution which is taking the place now in my homeland.

*24s to the infinity

It become quite an inner joke, that the most people who are visiting the Voorlinden Museum, visiting it only for one selfie. Or… how many pictures u can take in 24sec?

I took few, played around with the space. Most of the pictures which u see here are taken at this exhibition are my visual expression, maybe even hidden story about it. And finally I’ve a chance to see works of Louise Bourgeois [one of my favourite artists].

B a s q u i a t lowe P2/3

B a s q u i a t lowe P2/3

This weekend we finally went to Limburg (South of the Netherlands] to see Basquiat’s exhibition at SCHUNCK. “SCHUNCK” situated in Heerlen at the heart of the Euroegion, is a new multidisciplinary institute devoted to contemporary visual art, architecture, music, literature and film. Which contains all imaginable crossovers between the disciplines.  Manifested by means of presentations, collections and educational projects”.

Perfect place for this exhibition but… it was so boring. The person who’s designed it didn’t do much. I was so disappointed. The designer could go for anything here to show Basquiat’s works in unique way but ended up making just as normal presentation as possible and situated few “window holes” in the walls to show some pictures of NYC [Time Square Exhibition].[Besides Basquiat’s works you can see collective works of other artists of NYC’s scene]. You can check it yourself until June 2nd. I’m curious your opinion.

Heerlen is also famous for its graffiti/murals placed around the city. We had a nice walk follow some instructions from https://streetartheerlen.nl/ you can also check it out while waiting for a rain. Next stop was Maastricht and its unique vibe and craft beer cafe’s and one small micro brewery which we had a chance to visit.

no s l e e p till Brooklyn D3

no s l e e p till Brooklyn D3

Day 3. Saturday.

I have never experienced getting up early with such ease as I have being in NYC. For my entire life I was a midnight owl, but not here. All thanks go to jet lag 🙂

Today, I felt like I went back in time! My partner Mr. BeerQuest.TV dreamed of getting special craft beers from Brooklyn’s OH[Other Half Brewing]. We made plans for to go on this morning which meant standing in the line from 8 until 10am before opening. Like in good communistic times! Yaaay (sarcasm).

The whole experience was pretty interesting, I haven’t seen such a thing like this here in the Netherlands or maybe I have been a craft beer ignorant to pay not enough attention on that subject. Anyways! The line to the brewery wasn’t super long, there were maybe 20’ish guys trading beers, having cars full of beer cans. You could easily see some “old friendships” mostly dudes, no gals except 2 other than me. It wasn’t that difficult to communicate with the rest i just realized I’m totally not prepared for this kind of adventure! No folding chair, no touristic fridge full of craft beers to taste and trade it with new people at 8 at the morning. Next time more preparations will be done 🙂 And guys! Leaving home without breakfast and drinking these divine beers on empty stomach wasn’t smart either. Glad I’m Polish! [Inside joke hope u get it?]

ps. don’t be fooled by this sunny impression, it was November’s morning and it was pretty cold.

The rest u can see on pictures, I think I’m better with the images than with words. It was always like that. Aho!
