We escaped city of the Hague for the second time to avoid the madness happening at the Kings Night and Kings Day here in the Netherlands.

As for a true beer lovers we went for the Lambic tour in Belgium. Maybe not totally my regret, because i had the best company with me, but speaking about beers… damn! Sour’s totally not my thing!

Enjoy the pictures, soon you will be able to see more on Mr. beerQuest’s YT channel.

Here out last year trip to Belgium.

This year we started in Tilburg at L⍜c Brewery. Amazing place with delicious craft beers.

Few shots from lovely Rotterdam. For those of you who’s never been here, Rotterdam is a different state of mind. A unique city in this small country. U will not be surprised why we called it “R’NYC” 😉

Ive had a chance to look at this city from different perspective, visited friend’s house with astounding view, and had a lovely gals night.

There is an expression in dutch ‘Huisje-boompje-beestje’ symbolizes leading a nice and quiet conventional family life. You have a nice house (‘huisje’), a garden (‘boompje’) and probably a pet (‘beestje’).
Here we have a beer “biertje” all beer fans united 😉

Like always, watch your dreams, because they are becoming the reality.

Personally, i think every place looks beautiful while covered by snow… Luckily in this weather condition, public transportation surprised me on being on time and being a warm place. And yeah, it took us only about 40min to get to Brooklyn [perfect connection].

Look what i have seen when i get from the underground – so many bicycles here, almost like in 2nd home.

I’ve been busy recently with the big update here since I wasn’t posting for months here… This story is from November last year.

NYC trip was one of the top from my bucket list. This first time in NYC was very special for me. I visited my partner’s family for Thanksgiving celebration. And again going to this city as a photographer might be overwhelming. Mostly in places like this, I’m more paralyzed and literally don’t wanna photograph anything that was photographed before. But this thing you, who is visiting this blog regularly do know.

Today, day 1.

My flight with SwissAir was very pleasant. This was my first long flight with a layover in Zurich. I’m not the biggest fan of flying. If I could I would choose a train or any other transportation than this. I was super surprised how comfortable flight was with good vegetarian meals and unlimited wine on the board. I don’t need to tell you how the last one made me feel happy, right? I had nine hours to read the newest novel of my favorite writer Haruki Murakami, watch some stupid movies and do my best to not fall asleep to avoid jetlag [which I have to tell u I pretty well succeed]. Being a little bit bored i’ve made a calculation that my airplane I moving with the speed of 666km per hour, hilarious!

New York City welcomed me with the snow storm… We’ve made circles above the city for about an hour. Not a pleasant experience. But landing on snow was something I will never forget about.

Below you will see the footage from my favorite part of flying – soaking in the clouds. Enjoy!

When i t snows (Polish version)

When I t snows (Polish version)

We can’t deny the climate change. The winter in Poland was always a proper winter with lots of snow especially in the mountains. I remember being a kid or teen spending most of the winter time outside.

This year heading back for Christmas to Poland was hoping for some snow. We went to our favorite and closest place, Szklarska Poreba, hoping to hike or snowboard for this couple of days. All the weather forecast were saying “there will be a snow for Christmas Eve” but when we came to, there was nothing but rain and 5 degrees (on plus).

We were lucky to have snow for 3 days, having unexpected surprise at the Christmas’s morning. U can see on the first picture our outside fridge for craft beers!

There is not some many photographs form this trip since I was busy to remember everything with my own eyes 🙂

Btw on our way back we stopped by the biggest statue of Jesus in the world in Swiebodzin. I called it Rio de Swiebodzineiro 😉 but now seriously… this is the state of the mind which I will never get.

Ringen aan zee, Uncategorized

Ringen aan zee / Rings by the sea

The iconic beach landscape “Ringen aan zee” by Bruno Doedens.

Twenty sand rings of approximately 150 by 300 meters were built up on 12 February 2018 by two silver-colored excavators. Based on GPS, the machines ‘see’ where and how to dig. After more than a week, the first, inner rings were visible – are no less than two and a half meters high. To the outside, the rings are getting lower, up to 1.20 meters. It is estimated that the 150 by three-hundred-meter sand artwork was completely finished after two weeks.

The twenty rings represent 200 years of bathing culture at Scheveningen – The Hague. Sand, wind, air, water. Like nature itself, the artwork will not look exactly the same for a day.
